Display images Dear Martino, First of all, I would like to thank you for the wonderful experience we had at the Panorama apartment in Florence. Everything in the apartment was exactly like the photos we previously saw, and even better. The views were fantastic. Everywhere we looked, we saw beautiful views of Florence. We could see all of Florence from the windows in every room. The rooms were spacious and well-furnished. The apartment was so bright and cheerful. The location was great; we were able to walk to everything. Our neighborhood was very convenient, and we loved walking out into the Santa Annunicatta Piazza every day. The apartment was beautifully furnished, and everything was very comfortable. The king-sized bed was so comfortable, and even the sleeper sofa mattress was very comfortable. The linens were well-stocked, as was the kitchen. We didn't even have to buy basics, as the kitchen was so complete. It was so convenient to have the washing machine. In addition, everyone in Florence were incredibly helpful. Eleonora really made us feel like she was a friend. When we first arrived in Florence, we made the error of dropping our rental car in downtown Florence instead of the airport. (It is the same price to take a taxi from the airport to the apartment then from the downtown garage, and a lot easier). Anyway, I found the Hertz office, but my husband was sitting in the car, not knowing where to go after driving around Florence for an hour. I called Eleonora from the Hertz office, and she came running over to meet us, and also helped us with the Hertz representative who finally helped us drive to the garage. Eleonora also gave us wonderful touring information. We came home late one night after being away for 2 days, and the heat and hot water were off. We called Eleonora, and she happily stayed on the phone with my husband, until he was able to get everything working. She was so kind and helpful. We had a problem with a light bulb l night, and Francesco, the owner, came personally to fix it. We found in dealing with your agency and representatives, was a wonderful experience. If we have 1 complaint, we could not use the wonderful terrace, because the weather was very cold and rainy. The few times, we went out on the terrace, it felt like all of Florence was before us. Thank you again for a wonderful experence. Yours truly, Sandra Kaplan New York City

Dear Martino, we are now home in Sydney after a great 5 week holiday. This includes our week in Firenze. We were very happy with the apartment, but believe the owners need to be made aware of the following: 1/. The shower curtain is either an unfortunate oversight or a practical joke! Here is how the joke would work: a/. Buy a shower curtain double the needed width so there is excess fabric and very deep folds, even when extended. This will effectively further reduce the width of what may already be the narrowest shower cubicle on earth, and ensure that each time an elbow touches the wet curtain, it will cling and wrap itself around you! b/. Only secure the curtain rod to one wall, then extend the rod until it touches the opposite wall, slide it down and gently rest it on the EDGE of a WALL TILE!!! The result is unavoidable: the first time I slid the curtain closed the whole thing fell down and I had to delay my shower while I rethreaded the curtain onto its rod and hung it up again. It fell down a few times during our stay. Suggest you advise the owner to: a/. Buy or tailor the correct width curtain. b/. Secure the rod at BOTH ends, and when he does, move the whole rod, maybe, 150mm further outward. As long as the curtain length is ok, it will still hang within the shower recess, and the extra 150mm will give some much needed elbow space. 2/. We were not happy to find toilet and dishwashing items stored side by side under the kitchen sink! This is not good hygiene. We could not wash dishes until we purchased a new dishwash cloth, for fear of using one that had been used to clean the toilet bowl, bidet or floors! Owner should consider providing an obviously new, still in its wrapper, dish cloth and relocate the other cleaning items. 3/. Disappointed that we could find only 1 English language TV channel, BBC World News! Not what we would want to spend an evening watching! CNN, National Geographic and/or a regular channel, screening usual drama programs in English would be useful. 4/. Wish list: remove bathroom door, and refit it so it swings OUT from bathroom, not IN. This would cost, maybe 3 or 4 hundred Euros, so unlikely to happen. Martino, please understand, we were VERY, VERY happy with the apartment. There was SO much attention to detail, even sticky tape, pens, novels, wifi, cleanliness, security, that the items I have listed above, I believe, really are oversights, out of keeping with the owners obvious attention to detail. We will write a very favourable review in `TripAdvisor` and any other site you wish. Thanks also to the lovely Eleanor, she was very informative and helpful. Which reminds me: for some unexplained reason, Florence Streets appear to have two conflicting sets of street numbers! We stood outside number 14 phoning Eleanor who was 6 houses away, at the other number 14! Might pay to caution new guests to only refer to blue street numbers on a white background! Thanks again, and let me know where you would like me to write a review if other than `TripAdvisor`. Sincerely, Alan Nicholson.

Dear Martino and Eleonora, We had a lovely time in the Panorama apartment! We would like to thank the owner (Francesco?) for the kind gift of a bottle of wine for our Honeymoon. The setting and the condition of the apartment were just what we needed. I particularly was keen to cook and the kitchen was well appointed for that. The views from the terrace were lovely and it was so quiet, considering how near to the centre we were. Being so close to Robiglios helped, as I frequented that 10 years ago whilst working for the Maggio Musicale. The welcome we received was warm and helpful and we felt very well looked after and happy. Hope to revisit it soon! All the best, Robert Howarth

Dear Martino: We had a lovely time in the Panorama apartment. The location was ideal, close to the center but very quiet. The kitchen was well equipped and the place was quite spacious. We loved spending time on the terrace. What a beautiful view; always changing at different times of day. The only thing we would change was the mattress, which made odd crunching noises when you move. If we could, we'd be back tomorrow, but the wait will have to be a bit longer than that.

Claire - August 2009
Dear Martino It's been a few weeks since our return from overseas but it's been very busy so apologies for the delay in providing feedback. We enjoyed our week in Florence staying at Panorama very much. Looking at your website again today, I think the apartment is in one of the best locations, always easy to find your way home as long as you can spot the Duomo. The flat is well equipped and very comfortable - we particularly loved the little terrace with its magnificent views. We spent a lot of time out there. It was unseasonally hot in Florence that week so while we were relieved to have a small air conditioner in the bedroom, the apartment was quite warm being on the top floor. We were travelling with our adult daughter and as she was sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area, we needed to keep our door open to share the aircon. If it had been just the two of us, Panorama would have been perfect - as it was, it was almost perfect! Great place. Claire

Virginia and Mark - April 2009
Dear Martino We arrived back home earlier this afternoon and I wanted to write to say what a wonderful time we had staying in Panorama for the last 8 days. The apartment was absolutely delightful, very homely. And the location was perfect -so close to all the sights but also away from the crowds and bustle. As we were very lucky and had better than expected weather for April, we really enjoyed sunning ourselves on the terrace with a bottle of chianti most evenings. We will definitely be recommending Panorama to friends visiting Florence too. Thanks again to you and Francesco. Virginia and Mark

David Hughes - September 2008
Dear Martino * I'm not a member of Face book, but I'm more than happy to list a few comments following our stay at Panorama apartment: * * The apartment was: * * In an excellent location near to a magnificent church.."The SS. Annunziata" and a stroll away from the Duomo. An excellent ice cream parlour (just established when we visited Panorama) 2 mins from apartment on the way to the Duoma. * * Fantastic views from the roof top terrace across Florence and especially of the Duomo dome. * * Option to eat out on the terrace ( which we did every day), or in the separate kitchen diner. I'm not sure whether the chimney flues would affect eating outside in winter. * * Well appointed lounge and bedroom. However, the kitchen and bathroom both need updating, though this did not spoil our stay and we would consider the apartment again if staying in Florence. * * Friendly greeting on arrival by the owner.

Simon and Sand - March 2008
Dear Martino, Here's our comment : This apartment is in the perfect position - on a quiet street, a few minutes away from the Duomo. The balcony gives the loveliest views over the old city and towards the Duomo - a lovely place to eat in the morning and when the sun goes down. The apartment hand over was smoothly done, we felt instantly welcome and at home, as our hosts were so charming. Best wishes, Simon and Sand

Michael & Deon - March 2008
My wife and I have just spent a most enjoyable month of March at this ideally situated, spacious, comfortable and well appointed apartment. Where else could you enjoy spectacular 180 deg. vista from the balcony of typically Italian homes and apartments together with the surrounding hills and even glimpses of the snow capped Alps. At night, in the sitting room, a close up view of one of the world's most recognisable pieces of architecture- "Il Duomo". We went to London for 3 days and Francesco very kindly offered to turn the gas heating off in order to save us that cost. Needless to say we will be keen to return.

Laura Ziler - November 2007
Martino, From the minute we arrived, Paul and I felt at home. Francesco was a charming host and did a wonderful job showing us around the apartment and explaining how things worked. The Panorama apartment was perfectly located - we walked everywhere! We enjoyed many breakfasts on the terrace, relaxed after long days of site seeing, and Paul's daughter, Katie, and her roommates made us a wonderful Italian dinner with produce fresh from the local market. We would definitely recommend the apartment and hope to visit again. Sincerely, Laura

J. Turner - September 2007
Dear Martino, We were delighted with the apartment. The weather was such that we had the air conditioning on at the beginning of the week and the central heating at the end! Where else can you overlook Brunelleschi's Rotunda from the dining room? We enjoyed evening meals on the terrace with wonderful views - cooking facilities more than adequate. All the sights of Florence were so close and convenient but the situation was very quiet. Jennifer Turner

M. Batteram - August 2007
Dear Martino My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful time at the Panorama. Francisco met us at the flat and showed us around. The flat was very comfortable despite the hot weather at the time, and the little balcony was a wonderful place to survey the skyline. We found ourselves out there at the start of the day as we planned our activities, and at the end of the day we watched the light fade over the domes and spires of Florence, often with a good glass of local red. The apartment was well equipped and well located only a few hundred metres from the Academia and San Marco, and within easy walking distance of all the main sites. Our hosts were very helpful - we accidentally left our camera and had to drive back to Florence to pick it up. Francesco and Martino drove to an autostrada exit to meet us so we would not have to drive into Florence. This was greatly appreciated because it was only my second day of driving on the right hand side of the road and was having enough trouble just with the autostrada. There was a lift, but we still had to walk a short flight of stairs, which was not a problem at all. We would stay again and would recommend Panorama to others. Best regards Michael Batterham

Kimber - June 2007
We very much enjoyed the apartment as a quiet escape from the tourist crush just a few blocks away in the city center. Ending each evening on the terrace with a glass of wine and the city at our feet was a remarkable experience. I also can't thank Francesco enough for his hospitality. If we're in Florence again, we'll be staying here. Regards, Kimber & Amy

Bridget Mason - April 2007
Dear Martino Thank you for arranging our stay at Panorama 13th-20th - it was excellent (apart from the shower!) and Francesco Laverone couldn't have been nicer. I might be interested in taking the flat again for something like ............... October this year. Could you let me know if it is likely to be free and what the cost would be. Many thanks Bridget Bridget Mason
